Bill Payment Options
If you are a customer of USAA and have recently received a bill, then you may want to know how you can pay it. The following are the various bill payment options available to you:
- Online: This is an internet payment method that is fast, easy and secure. To make online payments, you first need to register for an account. You can do so through this link: www.usaa.com/registration. Once you are registered, you can then login through this link: www.usaa.com/login and start making payments. Payments can be made through your checking account or savings account. To pay, select the “Pay Bills” option from your account menu. Next, select the payee. Enter the amount you wish to pay and select the date on which you wish to make the payment. Click “Next” to verify and submit your payment. This payment method gives you the maximum freedom in paying your bills since you can pay from wherever you are, whenever you want. Plus, if you are looking to make an immediate payment, then this is your best bet.
- Automatic Payments: If you are looking for a payment option with the least amount of work, then the Automatic Payment option is the suitable one for you. In this method, your monthly bill amount will be automatically deducted from your payment source. You can be sure of paying bills on time and as such will not be charged any penalties for late payments. You will be notified when a payment is pending and when it is sent. To use this option, login to your online account and click the “Pay Bills” menu. Select the payee you want to pay and click “Set Up Automatic Payments” . Enter the required information and you are done. Your bills will now be paid automatically and you will never have to worry about them ever again.
- Mail: If you wish to pay your bills through mail, you can send your checks to the following address – USAA, 9800 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78288. Make sure to make the checks payable to “USAA P&C”
If you do not pay your bills on time, then you will be charged a late payment fee. However, if you are stationed overseas for some reason, then the late fee is not applicable. You will be charged a penalty for the returned check if you are paying through checks and if it returns due to any of the following reasons – insufficient funds, closed account, refer to maker, authorization signature, account frozen or uncollected funds.
